Encourage and Compliment Others

A sincere compliment is a verbal gift. A good word of encouragement can actually give the hearer strength to go on. On this day, work on finding opportunties to encourage and compliment those around you. Be sure to make your words sincere because there is nothing worse than flattery- because flattery is flat.

Encouragement can also be given non-verbally. Practice giving people pats on the back, high-fives and a silent clap.

Add a smile to these gestures and you have succeeded in encouraging someone without even uttering a word.

A word of encouragement during failure is worth more than an hour of praise after success.”
