Compliment Yourself

Once again, grab a piece of paper and pen and write down your top ten skills and strengths. Be specific. For example, you can start your sentences with “I am ______ and that is great because _______.” If you can pass a list of ten, then feel free to write on.

We all have personal gifts that make us special individuals. Some of us are gifted intellectually, some musically, and some emotionally. What we do need to know, is that when channeled correctly, our gifts can be truly powerful and bring joy to others. Balance is also a key here, as we don’t want to think too highly of ourselves either.

Your job is to recognize your own strengths. When you realize that it’s your combination of strengths that makes you different, you will see the gift in others too. Try your best to make it to a list of ten. We all have ten things we can do well. If you’re having trouble, go back to your past and/or childhood and try to remember the things you naturally enjoyed doing, and go from there.

“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.”
