Breathe

 

For today, take a few minutes to periodically breath deeply. While you are breathing, be aware of the sensations you feel. Think to yourself, ‘Breathing makes me alive. It’s good to be alive.’ Savour the act of breathing. Do this often during the day.

The one thing we all take for granted is our breath. We do it everyday- while we sleep and while we eat. The body needs to breathe to keep us alive.  All of us benefit from being aware of our breathing.

Regular breathing is on auto pilot for all of us. But when we put some effort into deep breathing, it reduces stress, promotes better blood flow, and strengthens our abdominal and intestinal muscles. Deep breathing also promotes healthy sleep.
